The scene at Newark Northgate in the early sixties was quite different to that which enthusiast became accustomed to in the latter part of the Deltic locomotives career. Here an unidentified locomotive hauls the 1N03 07:45 King's Cross - Leeds "The West Riding" past the freight yards north of the station.
