A stunning view of D9010 as it waits at Glasgow Queen Street with the 1E14 11:00 Glasgow - King's Cross "The Queen of Scots Pullman" On Saturday 26th May 1962.
The loco would work to Edinburgh Waverley and was an unusual form of motive power on the service on this section, indeed to date (07/2020) no other Deltic has yet been recorded as hauling the service between Glasgow and Edinburgh or vice versa.
This date was prior to the Deltic locomotives becoming booked with the service between Edinburgh and King's Cross, via Leeds, from 18th June 1962.

Application of small yellow warning panels. Speculation still surrounds the dates when each loco had the small yellow warning panels painted and in most cases only photographic evidence provides the nearest date that can be assumed.
