In November 1982 55011 (D9011) "THE ROYAL NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS" met its end at Doncaster Works. This photo is taken around the 21st November period and shows the process of cutting in an advanced state. The locomotive was completely cut-up by December 1982.
