During the early hours of Sunday 12th February 1978 55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" makes the York stop with the overnight 1S70 22:15 King's Cross - Aberdeen, "The Night Aberdonian" - note the two Motorail vehicles behind the locomotive. Various overnight services to and from Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen conveyed TCV and GUV Motorail vehicles.
