Having been specially prepared for the new timetable in June 1962 D9012 "CREPELLO" appears to have been cleaned once again by home depot Finsbury Park as it rolls into King's Cross on Saturday 15th September 1962.
Only the lack of white wheels sets it apart from the 18th June when immaculately turned out it worked the first diesel hauled Elizabethan , non-stop service, to Edinburgh.
