55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" sits outside the maintenance shed at Finsbury Park on the 16th August 1980. Having worked the 1A40 20:30 Newcastle - King's Cross on the previous night with only one operable power unit 55012 was dispatched to home depot Finsbury Park for 'B' examination and power unit repairs. The locomotive remained until the 21st August when it was sent to Doncaster Works, via the 1D30 04:05 King's Cross - Doncaster service, for further repairs to its faulty No.1 power unit.
