With only two weeks left to run in service 55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" leaves Grantham behind with the 1A08 08:05 York - King's Cross on the 2nd May 1981. The locomotive was withdrawn from service on the 18th May and cut-up at Doncaster Works during September.
