The most prestigious services to which the Deltics were bestowed was the 10:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh and 10:00 Edinburgh - King's Cross "Flying Scotsman" trains. Here Finsbury Park based 55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" takes the down 'Scotsman', the 10 o'clock from King's Cross, through the centre roads at York on the 2nd August 1977.
