55013 (D9013) "THE BLACK WATCH" at the Doncaster Works Deltic farewell open day on Saturday 27th February 1982. 55013's final service train was on the 16th December 1981 when it powered the 1B26 07:23 Peterborough - King's Cross commuter train, on which it suffered an engine failure at Wood Green and had to be assisted to King's Cross by 31292. The locomotive had been reduced to one power unit on the previous day and a further failure meant an end to a much loved locomotive - 55013 was cut-up at Doncaster during December 1982.
