Having been laid up at Doncaster TMD for a few days 55013 (D9013) "THE BLACK WATCH" is dispatched back to its home depot at York, on one of the most unusual Deltic moves of their later careers, during the morning of 4th July 1979. the loco is seen passing Doncaster at approximately 06:00 with the York breakdown train in tow. On the following day 55013 made it to Liverpool, via one of the Trans-Pennine services, and was only the second production machine to visit Lime Street.
