Few photos exist of 55014 (D9014) "THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON'S REGIMENT" whilst it sat at Doncaster Works awaiting scrapping. The loco was withdrawn on the 22nd November 1981 with traction motor failure and although repairs were sanctioned the loco was instead withdrawn in order to donate a power unit to 55002 (D9002) "THE KING'S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY" which was awaiting repair at Stratford TMD. Here 55014 is seen at Doncaster Works on the 11th December, having arrived there on the 5th of the month. The loco was cut-up in early February 1982 prior to the Deltic Farewell open day staged at the works on the 27th February.
