Due to a shortage of available HST sets the 1A14 10:45 Leeds - King's Cross and 1L12 14:50 return were given over to the Deltics during parts of 1980 and 1981. Here 55014 (D9014) "THE DUKE OF WELLINGTON'S REGIMENT" is seen after arrival at Leeds on the 19th January 1981 with the 1L12 14:50 service from King's Cross. 55014 was put to use on this diagram from the 19th until the 27th January.
