55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" at Finsbury Park on the 15th March 1981. The locomotive was undergoing a routine 'B' examination, had been cleaned and received painted nose ends in connection with the commemoration of the fitting of plaques to both marker panels denoting its taking inclusion in the 150th anniversary of the Rainhill Trials - these had been fitted during the previous month...

...Two days later, on Tuesday 17th March 1981, the plaques were unveiled at Finsbury Park TMD by Mr. Neville G. Davies (Divisional Maintenance Engineer, King's Cross) in the presence of Mr. Alan Baker (Manager, Finsbury Park) and Mr. David Carter (Chairman, DPS). Following the ceremony 55015 worked the 1L42 12:20 King's Cross - York service.

The top section of the plaques had a black background whilst the lower was red - the inscription was as follows;
