In readiness for the Doncaster Works Deltic open day held on February 27th 1982 55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" is seen within the paintshop at the works on Sunday 17th January. The locomotive had lost its plated over headcode panels, as these carried plaques denoting its involvement with the Rainhill Trial celebrations held in May 1980, and plywood versions had been fitted prior to the repainting of both yellow ends - photos of the locomotive at the open day can be found here.
