From the 29th December 1980 until 4th January 1981 BR celebrated the final loco hauled "The Hull Executive" services by providing the service with a dedicated headboard. Both the 1A04 07:00 Hull - King's Cross and 1D04 17:05 King's Cross - Hull services carried the headboard throughout the week and 55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" is seen here at King's Cross, prior to departure with the evenings 1D04, on 30th December1980. During the week 55015 was the most prolific member of the class in terms of appearances on the services and also saw use on the 1D04's for 29th December and 2nd January 1981.
