On the evening of 30th May 1981 55016 (D9016) "GORDON HIGHLANDER" makes its way to the fuel point at Finsbury Park. The loco had worked the final loco hauled 1D02 12:05 King's Cross - Hull and 1A28 16:30 Hull - King's Cross services that day.
