...After suffering loss of power, prior to working the 1A38 14:55 Edinburgh - Aberdeen service, 55018 (D9018) "BALLYMOSS" waits for a move to Haymarket for repairs on the 2nd July 1981 at Edinburgh Waverley. 55018 later worked south via the 1E35 20:25 Edinburgh - King's Cross service, though problems continued and the locomotive was restricted to one power unit before repairs were carried out at its home depot, York TMD, on the 5th July.
