55018 (D9018) "BALLYMOSS" brings the 1V93 09:50 Edinburgh - Plymouth service to a stop at York on a very wet 8th October 1981. The Deltic surrendered the service to Brush 4 No.47519 and returned north via the 1S27 07:36 Plymouth - Edinburgh, from York. This was only four days before 55018's failure which led to the locomotives withdrawal from service.
