Following arrival at Newcastle with only one engine working 55019 (D9019) "ROYAL HIGHLAND FUSILIER" moves away from the stock of the late running 1S21 10:55 King's Cross - Edinburgh service on the 19th August 1978. 55019 proceeded to Gateshead for repairs whilst the 10:55 continued on with a class 47 as motive power.
