55020 (D9020) "NIMBUS" at the head its final 1S17 10:00 King’s Cross - Edinburgh, "The Flying Scotsman" service on the 25th March 1978. The locomotive was taken out of service shortly afterwards and spent over eighteen months awaiting power units at Doncaster Works, these units never became available and the loco was cut up in early 1980.
