Having, more than likely, powered the 1N10 10:20 King's Cross - Bradford service as far as Leeds D9021 continues its diagram by taking the 1S57 12:00 King's Cross - Glasgow Queen St., "The Queen of Scots Pullman" service forward from Leeds, as it passes Wortley on the 25th May 1963. D9016 had arrived in Leeds via the service from London King's Cross and would be awaiting the arrival of the up service (on this occasion hauled by Finsbury Park's D9009) from Glasgow to take it south to the capital.
