9000 "ROYAL SCOTS GREY" is seen circa May 1971 within the Crimpsall erecting shops at Doncaster Works. The locomotive arrived at the works on the 28th April 1971 for Intermediate Repair and the fitting of ETH equipment, a bracket for the ETH box has already been welded to the front of the locomotive. 9000 was released back to traffic on the 1st November 1971 following a run on the Doncaster Works test train.
