55022 (D9000) "ROYAL SCOTS GREY" suffered the indignity of failing on the 1S17 10:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh "Flying Scotsman", at York, on Monday 6th February 1978. Here the errant locomotive is hauled away to York TMD by a class 08 - the locomotive visited Doncaster Works two days later when No.2 power unit 407 was replaced by 408.
