On the 27th December 1969 9002 "THE KING'S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY" passes Peterborough with the days 1E05 10:00 Edinburgh - King's Cross "The Flying Scotsman" service. The locomotive still carries a matt blue livery, which was applied in 1966.
