With repairs complete and units finally available 55004 (D9004) "QUEEN'S OWN HIGHLANDER" waits to enter the paintshop at Doncaster Works in November 1979 for 'touching-up'. The locomotive had already visited the paintshop from 26th-31st October as it required 'drying out' due to a lengthy stay at the works awaiting repairs - it had in fact arrived for attention on the 28th April 1978, but power unit shortages had led to its sojourn. 55004 was finally released on 29th November 1979 and saw a further two years of service.
