Due to the failure of 40154 on 6G60 11:15 Torksey (near Lincoln) - Teesport 'tanks' on Friday 28th August 1981 55004 (D9004) "QUEEN'S OWN HIGHLANDER" was summoned to pilot the stricken train from Arksey, near Doncaster, to Holgate sidings south of York. The ensemble is seen here at Holgate, where it is thought the loco's surrendered the train to another engine.
