55004 (D9004) "QUEENS OWN HIGHLANDER" is seen on the 5th December 1982 as the locomotive awaits its fate in the scrapline at Doncaster Works. Four other members of the class remain behind: 55022, 55016, 55005 and 55017 - two of which (55016 & 55022) would happily make it into preservation. 55004 was the final Deltic to be cut-up, this occurring during July 1983.
