55004 (D9004) "QUEEN'S OWN HIGHLANDER" awaits works attention at its home depot York TMD on the 7th March 1981. The locomotives No.2 power unit was dephased and it would be shopped for repair on the 9th March and released back to traffic on the 19th. Attention was also given to the buckled No1 end nose cone (seen adjacent to the class 45), however, little remedial work was carried out as 55004 carried the stress marks until, withdrawal in October 1981.
