After arrival at King's Cross on Saturday 10th June 1967, with the previous nights 1E89 21:20 Bradford - King's Cross service, D9007 "PINZA" enters King's Cross Loco stabling point. The locomotive is seen wearing full yellow ends (applied at Doncaster during January 1967) and still retaining the experimental nose mounted air horns fitted during March 1966. Both embellishments would disappear just three months later when the loco was shopped for General repair at Doncaster - then standard bonnet mounted horns were fitted and BR corporate blue livery applied.
