D9007 "PINZA" stands at Newcastle on Saturday 17th June 1967 with a service from King's Cross. Gresley's A3 4472 "FLYING SCOTSMAN" stands to the right having arrived at Newcastle via the "Hadrian Flyer" railtour from King's Cross. Deltic D9005 "THE PRINCE OF WALES'S OWN REGIMENT OF YORKSHIRE" had returned the railtour to London via Carlisle, the S&C and Leeds. Meanwhile 4472 would work a Railway Magazine charter to Leeds where another Deltic, D9004 "QUEEN'S OWN HIGHLANDER" was waiting to take over for London. It is therefore possible that D9007 might also be on the Railway Magazine charter from the capital and 4472 is waiting to take over.
