On Saturday 10th June 1967 D9009 "ALYCIDON" leaves the confines of King's Cross Loco stabling point in order to take up its next working north, the locomotive having arrived at the capital via the overnight 1A73 19:15 Aberdeen - King's Cross service. D9009 received full yellow ends to its green livery during a General repair at Doncaster Works in March 1967 and would become blue during its next General repair at Doncaster, which was brought forward due to severe fire damage, in December 1967 (released June 1968).
