...Lining up with Audi's latest A3 and A4 models at Steamtown, Carnforth, on Sunday 14th October 1979 is 55009 (D9009) "ALYCIDON". 55009 was working the first Deltic Preservation Society railtour - the "Deltic Detour" - which ran from York to Carnforth via Selby, Leeds and Settle Jn. The two Gresley Pacifics need little introduction, though for the record they are 4498 "SIR NIGEL GRESLEY" and 4472 "FLYING SCOTSMAN".
