55009 (D9009) "ALYCIDON" passes Doncaster with the 1E27 10:25 Aberdeen - King's Cross service on the 19th August 1978. The white tyres are a remnant of those applied to 55001 (D9001) "ST. PADDY" in September 1977, it is believed 55001 was prepared for the Deltic Pictorial railtour on the 24th September 1977 however 55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" worked this instead - 55009 receiving the bogies from 55001 in April 1978.
