Before receiving the trade mark Finsbury Park white window surrounds 55009 (D9009) "ALYCIDON" is seen at Hull with the 1A18 12:45 Hull - King's Cross service on the 20th June 1979.
The small sign, attached between BR arrows and cab door, would denote some sort of modification or trial that the loco was currently undergoing.
