...9009 "ALYCIDON" was looped just outside Newark Northgate station on Sunday 22nd February 1970 with the 1N10 11:00 King's Cross - Newcastle service. Secondman Richard Scott recalls the service was stopped to allow a late running service to pass, this must surely have been the Sunday 1S17 10:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh service.
