On Saturday 30th May 1981 55009 (D9009) "ALYCIDON" is seen at Finsbury Park TMD. The Park lost its allocation of locomotives from the 1st June, just two days later, and its remaining Deltic fleet moved to York.
55009 would be the last Deltic to work off the depot on Sunday 31st May, whilst still allocated, and would work the 1L43 16:05 King's Cross - York service complete with headboard "Farewell to Finsbury Park".
