On the 8th June 1959 "DELTIC" began trials on the Scottish region. The locomotive was utilized on various services over a ten day period and serviced at Leith TMD, the former Leith Central station, during its short stay. The locomotive is seen at Leith at some point during the ten day exercise which came to an end on the 18th June.
