On the 1st August 1970 9010 "THE KING'S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERER"
gets the 1A30 15:10 Newcastle - King's Cross service away from York.
The locomotive had been removed from the previous nights
1E42 19:15 Aberdeen - King's Cross service at Newcastle due to a seized
valve which had caused a six minute delay at Alnmouth.
