55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" pauses at York on the
7th September 1975 with the Sunday 1S35 14:00 King's Cross -
Edinburgh service.
The locomotive had suffered a delay at Retford due to one engine
cutting out and a fresh engine had been requested to be ready at
Doncaster. A further delay at Doncaster resulted in the locomotive
working forward with the engine now running.
However, No.1 engine once again shut down at Newcastle and 47519 was
utilised forward, 55015 retiring to Gateshead where it was found to
have a faulty Martinair unit.
