D9001 "ST. PADDY" rests at King's Cross 'Top Shed' on the morning of 17th August 1962 - the locomotive had worked the 1N24 17:25 King's Cross - Harrogate "The Yorkshire Pullman" service on the previous evening and would be turned out to work 1A06 08:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh "The Talisman" on the17th. Note the Deltic locomotive seen behind D9001 has roof mounted air horns.
