An immaculate D9001 "ST. PADDY" passes Huntingdon on the 30th August 1962 with the 1A46 16:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh "Talisman" service. The following day D9001 was in trouble with its No.2 power unit (426) 'B' crankshaft broken resulting in a Doncaster Works visit.
