55005 (D9005) "THE PRINCE OF WALES OWN REGIMENT OF YORKSHIRE" at Doncaster Works on the 31st July 1982. Directly behind lie 55016 (D9016) "GORDON HIGHLANDER", 55022 (D9000) "ROYAL SCOTS GREY" and 55004 (D9004) "QUEENS OWN HIGHLANDER". Although 55005 and 55004 were cut up at Doncaster both 55016 and 55022 were secured for preservation.

55005 is seen again (right) with further condemned locomotive 55017 (D9017) "THE DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY". 55005 was cut up during February 1983.
