The body was given a six-monthly exam and new primary fan shafts were fitted to both engines. No.1 exhaust collector tank inspection lid and exhaust flexible pipe were fitted with new joints. A buffer was replaced at No.2 end and the following modifications were carried out: Additional exhaust pipe filter; Additional compressor outlet pipe bracket; Drivers vacuum brake valve.
