In the summer of 1966 D9007 "PINZA" arrives at King's Cross with the 1E10 12:50 service from Harrogate. A rare photo indeed as the locomotive is seen with the nose-cone fitted air horns whilst still retaining its small yellow front panel. The experimental horns were fitted at Doncaster Works at the beginning of June 1966 and the locomotive received full yellow ends at its next classified repair in December of that year.
